Kemah Business Alliance
A collaborative effort to support, strengthen, and connect Kemah’s business community.
About the Kemah Business Alliance
The Kemah Business Alliance is a City-led initiative created to bring local businesses together, encourage open communication, and support long-term economic growth. This program provides a structured way for business owners, managers, and industry partners to share ideas, discuss challenges, and work alongside the City of Kemah to build a stronger community.
The Alliance is open to businesses of every size and sector—from small family-owned shops to major employers, hospitality destinations, retail establishments, and industrial operations.
This project is supported by the City of Kemah, Discover Kemah, and the Kemah Community Development Corporation (KCDC).
Pods will meet periodically to address shared challenges, collaborate on opportunities, and work closely with the City on issues that impact their businesses.
Entertainment/Attractions
This group includes amusement venues, museums, recreation providers, and tourism-driven attractions. Discussions focus on visitor experience, event coordination, peak-season operations, and opportunities to strengthen Kemah as a regional destination.
Restaurants/Bars
This pod brings together Kemah’s dining and nightlife establishments to discuss shared needs, including staffing, customer traffic patterns, safety, marketing, and seasonal trends. Members can collaborate on solutions that support a strong and steady hospitality environment.
Hotel & Lodging
This pod brings together hotels, inns, bed & breakfasts, and short-term rental operators to discuss occupancy trends, guest experience, tourism patterns, safety considerations, and opportunities to strengthen Kemah as a welcoming place to stay. Members can collaborate on shared challenges and coordinate with the City on topics that support the local hospitality economy.
Retail/Big Box/Industry
This pod supports larger employers, industrial operations, logistics partners, and retail. Discussions may center on infrastructure needs, supply chain considerations, facility operations, workforce development, and long-range planning that helps maintain a strong local economy.
