The City of Kemah does not provide water service.

School District
The City of Kemah is serviced by the Clear Creek Independent School District. The district operates independently from the City. Its administration is self-guided and it is funded by its own taxes.

Cable and Internet:
Cable television, telephone and internet service for Kemah is provided by Comcast Xfinity.
Trash and Recycling
AmeriWaste is Kemah's waste removal contractor. For questions or concerns, contact their customer service at 281-331-8400.
Service Details:
Pickup Days:
Monday & Thursday (7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.; have items out by 7:00 a.m.)
Heavy Trash:
Thursdays, curbside (limit 2 items, under 50 lbs). Additional fees may apply for large items like appliances or mattresses. Refrigerants must be drained and tagged.
Green Waste:
Mondays & Thursdays (limit 6 cans, bags, or bundles; bundles max 5 ft in length, 18 in diameter, 50 lbs).
Recycling:
Tuesdays (combine recyclables: glass, plastics, cardboard, paper, aluminum).
Observed holidays include New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. If a pickup falls on a holiday, it resumes on the next scheduled day.

Driver Licenses
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) oversees state driver licenses and ID cards. New residents are permitted to drive with a valid, unexpired license for 90 days following a move.
Most services can be done online.
The nearest DPS office is in Texas City, at 1325 N Amburn Rd. You can reach them by calling (409) 933-1130. Services are offered by appointment only.
Vehicle Registration and License Plates
The Galveston County Tax Office oversees vehicle registration and license plates. They can be reached at 877-766-2284 or by email at galcotax@co.galveston.tx.us.
Voter Registration
To vote in Texas, you must be registered at least 30 days prior to an election. As a resident of Galveston County, you can find voter registration and election information through Galveston County's voter website. Additional information is available on the Vote Texas website.
