July 4th Golf Cart & Pedestrian Egress Route(s)
To help ensure public safety after the fireworks display is complete along the Kemah Boardwalk waterfront, please observe the following:
• Guest leaving the Kemah Boardwalk area via golf cart or on foot, wishing to cross SH-146, should only use routes marked in yellow on this map to avoid delays.
• Motorist will be directed to exit the area via lanes highlighted in red only.
• Officers will be staged at key intersections to direct motorist, golf carts and pedestrians.
• Golf cart operators must follow all state and local laws without deviation.
• Remember, it’s a best practice to avoid crossing in front of moving vehicles.
• KPD & Public Works will establish clearly marked lanes for motorist and
pedestrians leaving the Kemah Boardwalk area with traffic cones, barrels, and / or barricades.
