Five things to watch at the March 6 City Council Meeting

Synergy Sports Global - will present the latest updates on the Sports Feasibility Presentation that was given to the Council on February 20th, 2024. This presentation is expected to provide valuable insights into the feasibility of an indoor sports facility in Kemah.
Truck Route Signage - the City Administrator will provide an update on installing "No Trucks" signs throughout the City. This initiative is designed to prevent semi-truck traffic through non-commercial route areas and improve safety for all residents.
Street Light Outage Update - The Public Works Supervisor will give an update on the progress made in reducing the number of non-working street lights around the city. Public Works has compiled a list of non-working lights and reported them to CenterPoint for repair or replacement. 2023 Racial Profiling Report - the Police Chief will present the 2023 Racial Profiling Report that was submitted to the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement. The report provides valuable information about the police department's efforts to prevent racial profiling and is required by all Texas Law Enforcement organizations. Sixth and Seventh Street Traffic Plan - The Council will consider and possibly take action regarding a traffic plan for one-way configurations of Sixth and Seventh Streets and the Lighthouse District. See the proposed plan here.
