Alarm Permits

The Kemah Police and Volunteer Fire Departments receive hundreds of false alarm calls every year. Responding to these calls takes up valuable resources that could be used to attend to real emergencies in the city. False alarms pose unnecessary safety risks to emergency responders and citizens during the response.

The City of Kemah requires all residential and business alarms operating within the city to have an Alarm Permit in compliance with Division 2, Sec. 34-44 of the city's Code of Ordinances. By working together with alarm companies and users of the alarm system, we can drastically reduce the number of false alarms.
