In the past, the city has absorbed the charge for trash collection however, after careful evaluation of finances, we have determined the City will pass these costs on to our residents through direct billing from our Solid Waste provider AmeriWaste.
Beginning in September, the cost for trash collection will be reflected as a quarterly bill from AmeriWaste. Each household’s bill will be a charge of $55.35 + tax for waste removal services.
City public works crews picked up heavy trash, large debris, and green waste on Thursdays. Moving forward, these services will transition to AmeriWaste. Please see the attached flyer and letter.
