Parking in the City of Kemah's Lighthouse District varies depending on where the parking is located. 

Free Parking

Free on-street parking is available in the Lighthouse District on a limited basis, with additional free parking lots located on Texas Avenue near the waterfront. Visitors parking in the Texas Avenue lots can take advantage of the free Kemah Boardwalk shuttle boat to the Boardwalk when in operation.*

6th Street Parking Lot

HIGH SEASON RATES ARE CURRENTLY IN EFFECT

The 6th Street parking lot has specific parking rates and enforcement hours that vary by season. See the tables below for hours and rates. Parking outside of those hours is free. Unless the signage indicates otherwise, you need not proceed with payment.

How to Pay

Using your mobile phone, scan the QR code on one of the red and white signs located throughout the parking lot. Click on the link provided and select the amount of time you'd like to park. Enter your license plate information and phone number. Payment can be made using a credit card (American Express, Discover, Master Card or Visa) or either Apple Pay or Google Pay.

The Kemah Boardwalk offers several on-site parking lots, including a garage at Bradford and Second Streets, gated between Bradford and Kipp Streets, and un-gated lots on Kipp Street.

  • Parking Garage/Gated Lots: Receive your parking ticket, PAY—scan the QR code sign with your phone or use the walk-up pay stations located on the 1st and 2nd floors of the parking garage, and PLAY—hold onto your ticket to exit the lot. If you experience any issues, please press the help button on the parking kiosk.

    Ungated Lots   (Kipp Ave & 6th St): Paid parking is available 24/7. Please utilize the QR codes posted to pay for parking.

*The shuttle boat does not operate year-round.
