Community Development

The Community Development Services Director is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the human, financial and capital resources of each unit within the Community Services Department, to include planning, permitting, building inspection, fire marshal, public works, contract administration, and code enforcement, and major projects. They oversee all aspects of capital improvements projects, including long range planning, design, inspection, and contractual oversight; provide technical support to the Mayor and City Council, City Administrator, Kemah Community Development Corporation, and the Public Works Department. And act as a liaison with developers, builders, engineers, state and federal agencies, and other local governmental representatives.
